Montgomery Energy Group (MEG)

Montgomery Energy Group (MEG) is a volunteer group set up just over 10 years ago to raise awareness of climate change and to help and encourage people in Montgomery to reduce their use of fossil fuel and their carbon emissions.

 

MEG has also been heavily involved in recycling and has been involved in many activities to promote better recycling, including coordinating the recycling of waste at the town's summer events (street fair and summer show).

 

MEG organises monthly meetings (open to all) on a range of sustainability and environmental topics, and is currently preparing a new project for the Autumn to help residents of Montgomery to make their homes more energy efficient.
