Managing Whitegate
This beautiful community space has been developed and managed with wildlife in mind. Bringing the community close to nature. So how does Whitegate pool have such a varied and interesting wildlife? The answer is good management.
All habitats need to be cared for, and in this case that means, making sure the trees and shrubs are pruned when needed, ensuring the pool is not overtaken by plants and keeping the footpaths clear for people to walk on.
This work is carried out by a team of volunteers and Montgomery Town Council.
