Montgomery Dementia Friendly Community

'Montgomery is officially working to become dementia friendly’

Eric Fairbrother

The Montgomery Dementia Friends Group, under the leadership of Eric Fairbrother, has successfully raised awareness of dementia in the local community amongst both residents and businesses.

Look out for the window stickers indicating that a business is ‘Working to become dementia friendly’!

Developing Montgomery as a dementia friendly community will involve a continuing focus on engaging with local needs.

Central to the work of the group will be activities that encourage social interaction and combat the isolation often experienced by people living with dementia.
